Donna Hanelin, published poet and writer, teaches creative writing to adults. She offers classes and consultation in fiction, memoir, autobiography and poetry. As of July 2008, she is based in Oaxaca, Mexico, where she conducts writing retreats and workshops; Donna periodically offers critique groups and sessions in northern California. She works with beginners on up to published writers. Donna has been teaching writing since 1990.

Some classes are experiential, involving in-class writing practices. In other classes, the group discusses work-in-progress. All classes and retreats are limited to 8-12 people. Donna is also available online for private consultation and manuscript help.
